The Emergency Services RN carries much responsibility in the ED. The responsibilities may include;
- Checking in on patients often while changing their dressings, administering medication, and monitoring vital signs
- Patient, family, and friends health education and consistent updates
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in emergency situations
- Physical assessments of patients to ensure their current state.
- Work collaboratively with PRN's and CNA's
An active nursing license in the state of Kansas, or a compact license is crucial in being considered for the Emergency Services RN opening with this facility. Previous RN experience at a community acute care facility is also a plus.
