The Family Nurse Practitioner is responsible for obtaining accurate patient histories, performing physical exams, reviews medical records, determines appropriate diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, administers injections and immunizations, prepares written prescription orders, educates patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions, promotes preventative health practices, and connects patients with community resources.
