One of the region’s largest and most trusted healthcare providers in eastern South Carolina is seeking an experienced individual to join its dedicated team of providers as the new Health Information Management Director.

As the Health Information Management Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the management of patient information is accurate, accessible, and secure. This leadership position is integral to upholding the integrity of the electronic health records and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
The HIM Director will responsibilities will include leading the HIM department, managing staff, recruitment, training, and budget, collaborating with IT and clinical teams to maintain systems, ensure HIPAA compliance, enforcing policies, staying up-to-date on regulatory changes, overseeing patient record classification for billing and reporting, managing privacy breaches, serving as a resource for privacy inquiries, facilitating communication between HIM, clinical, administrative, and IT teams, and providing regular updates to senior management. Individuals earning quick interviews will have leadership and EPIC experience.
