The Hospital Health Information Management Director will be joining a 25-bed acute care hospital with additional 125 bed skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities include personnel management, assisting with Revenue Cycle functions, oversight of the management and organization of health information systems. This HIM Director will also be expected to secure patient data, implement policies, collaborate with the IT Department, lead the coding and billing process, and ensure compliance. The HIM Director will manage 6 direct reports, be supported by the HIM Supervisor, and will report to the Revenue Cycle Administrator.
A Hospital Health Information Management Director with experience in healthcare information technology and healthcare management will make for the ideal candidate. Experience with auditing, data management, information technology, healthcare information systems, and ensuring data accuracy will make for quick interviews! Certifications and licenses such as Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS), or Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) certifications will also make for an ideal candidate.
