Under the direction of the Chief Quality Officer and Director of Quality & Accreditation, the Hospital Regulatory Compliance & Accreditation Specialist will be the hospital’s expert and resource on regulatory, accreditation, and licensure for ensuring the hospital’s accreditation, licensure standards and expectations for compliance and survey readiness.
The Hospital Regulatory Compliance & Accreditation Specialist will analyze data, investigate complaints, evaluate actions, and prepare documentations, and provide written and verbal communication to appropriate parties. The Hospital Regulatory Compliance & Accreditation Specialist will work closely with the hospital leadership team to provide department consultations for implementing and maintaining up-to-date standards and best practices to proactively prepare the hospital for unexpected on-site visits from regulatory agencies such as Joint Commission, CMS, Department of Health, etc.
Since the Hospital Regulatory Compliance & Accreditation Specialist will maintain a strong working relationship with external agency representatives and key contacts, the Hospital Regulatory Compliance & Accreditation Specialist will have strong verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively act as the hospital advocate and liaison.
