With a 6-bed CCU, 13-bed Med / Surg unit, and a Family Birthing Center, this facility provides a wide range of services, including care for ventilated patients. The Hospital Respiratory Therapist will report to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including ED staff, CCU nurses, and Family Birthing providers. This role also works alongside other RTs to ensure seamless care across all departments.
The respiratory care team supports the entire hospital, including the ED, which averages 50 visits daily, the CCU, Med / Surg, and Family Birthing units. The Hospital Respiratory Therapist will provide care to a diverse patient population, from newborns to adults, in a fast-paced yet supportive environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with skilled providers and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
The Hospital Respiratory Therapist will assess, treat, and monitor patients requiring respiratory care, including ventilator management and neonatal support. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic tests, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the care team to develop treatment plans. This role also involves mentoring peers, ensuring compliance with protocols, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
