The Inpatient Sonographer’s responsibilities include following along with departmental rules and regulations regarding patient safety, providing proper explanation of procedures to patients, appropriately operating ultrasound equipment and adjusting as needed to obtain accurate images, conducting scans per physician orders (general skills welcomed – i.e. abdominal, vascular, cardiac, etc), and recording observations and findings accurately. Individuals earning quick interviews will be a registered or registry eligible ARDMS or ARRT in Sonography.
