In the role of Interim Director of Emergency Services, this nursing leader will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the Emergency Department consisting of 21 ED beds, be supported by a Nurse Manager, multiple Clinical Supervisors, and 100 employees Registered Nurses, Techs, and Unit Secretaries. This is a busy Emergency Department that sees over 48,000 / year. The Interim Director of Emergency will be responsible for developing and implementing improvement strategies, managing personnel, and ensuring that the department consistently delivers high-quality care. Additionally, this Interim Director of Emergency Services will have the opportunity to serve as a mentor to nursing staff, fostering professional growth and development. This position also involves updating and enforcing policies to ensure that the department remains compliant with the latest standards in patient care.
Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Interim Nurse Director of Emergency will lead a dedicated team of over 30 healthcare professionals who are committed to providing exceptional care to the community. Your leadership will be key to maintaining the department’s standards of excellence and ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
To be considered for this role, you must possess a current and unrestricted Registered Nursing License, along with several years of experience in an acute-care hospital setting. Additional progressive leadership experience is also essential, as you will be expected to hit the ground running in this fast-paced environment.
