The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will report to the Manager of the Medical Surgical and Step Down Units. There will be multiple Charge Nurses who are able to provide assistance with any issues that arise. The medical surgical registered nurse will have the opportunity to provide direct and indirect patient care in the Acute Care setting.
The RN Medical Surgical Unit will be a part of a rewarding department. This nurse will have the opportunity to formulate a care plan based on identified needs and facilitate interventions and referrals as appropriate. They will also be able to effectively communicate identified needs and care plans with the multidisciplinary care team including providers, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers, case managers, and more. The RN Medical Surgical Unit will also evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust the care plan accordingly.
