Key responsibilities include:
- Organizing and directing the work of the NICU to ensure effective and efficient nursing services
- Managing and supervising patient care on a 24-hour basis
- Ensuring compliance with clinical care standards and hospital policies
- Mentoring and supporting staff through changes, acting as a professional role model
- Promoting and monitoring quality control, performance improvement, safety, and infection control initiatives
