With just under 50,000 annual ED visits, the Nurse Director Emergency Services will oversee a fast-paced Emergency Department that is based out of an acute care hospital in Maryland. This Emergency department is open 24/7 and cares for both an adult and pediatric population.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Director Emergency Services will be accountable for overseeing all administrative and clinical operations over a large, very busy emergency department, and will be supported by a team of Nurse Managers, Educators, specialists, technicians and ancillary staff. Responsibilities of the Nurse Director Emergency Services include managing the department budgets, preparing for all upcoming accreditation and surveys, updating policy procedures, developing strategic short and long term growth initiatives, and cross collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Ideally, the Nurse Director Emergency Services should hold an active RN license, prior leadership experience, and a clinical background working in a fast-paced emergency department.
