Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, the L&D Nurse Director will provide leadership and overall responsibility for the fast paced Labor and Delivery department which includes over 40 beds and delivers over 5,000 babies each year. The Nurse Director L&D will oversee 70 FTEs including an experienced Nurse Manager L&D, L&D Charge Nurses, and L&D Staff RN’s.
The RN Director Labor and Delivery L&D will promote the practice of professional nursing in the Labor and Delivery unit and guide development and utilization of resources needed to fulfill the responsibilities of all employees. The Nurse Director Labor and Delivery L&D will assess and prioritize opportunities to improve, plan and implement effective changes and evaluate outcomes of process improvement activities.
