Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Manager
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Manager to oversee the clinical operations of our new 22-bed individual room PICU located on a Pediatrics Floor in a frequently accredited San Francisco Bay Area Non Profit Medical Center.
The ideal candidate will report to the Director of Pediatric Services and be supported by a team of Supervisors, Charge Nurses, and experienced RNs. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the department's clinical operations and working with the nursing staff to further improve clinical care, as well as serving as the clinical expert in complex cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- 24-hour supervision of the department
- Overall day-to-day operations of the department
- Guidance on nursing practice
- Hiring and retention
- Budgeting and quality improvement
