The Nursing Director will lead clinical and administrative operations for a busy Emergency Department at a well-known 300 bed medical center in the Central Valley. Part of a health system that has earned local and national accolades for excellent stroke care, having an accredited chest pain center and as a receiving center for wide array of trauma cases, this hospital and it’s satellite facilities are known as the first line of care for the community.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Emergency Department Nursing Director will be the point of expertise for ED / Trauma clinical nursing. Supported by CEN Nurse Managers and Emergency Services Nurse Supervisors, you’ll lead a 200 FTE service line of Certified Emergency Nurses, Advanced Trauma Nurses, MICN Mobile Intensive Care Nurses, and dedicated support staff. By leading this large staff with an experienced and sure hand, the ED Nursing Director will ensure continued growth for this reputable medical center.
This Nursing Director will lead operations in a 40-bed Emergency Department sees over 50k visits annually – nearly half of whom are admitted. This facility is particularly proud of its Emergency Room metrics, including Door-to-Doc times and LWOS rates well below state averages. You’ll serve as the driving force behind consistent application of evidence-based nursing practice and continuous total quality improvement. This leader will also be responsible for creating and maintaining the annual budget, inventory, and labor.
