What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Manager Cellular Therapy BMT position at Clinical Management Consultants?
A rare and exciting opportunity has recently become available for a Cellular Therapy and Bone Marrow Transplant Nursing Manager at one of the nation’s top health systems. Apply for this Hybrid position today, and join this distinguished and dedicated team of providers and cancer nurses as they push the limits on patient satisfaction and compassionate care.
If you’re looking for a position where you can show your true colors as a caring and nurturing clinician, while practicing a steady managerial hand, look no further. This Oncology Department and Bone Marrow Transplant Program is associated with a well-known Accredited Primary Cancer Care Program. This means that in addition to managing patient care through a wide continuum of treatments for a vast array of oncology conditions the Cellular Therapy Nursing Manager will also have opportunities to interact and participate in the ever evolving research fields surrounding cancer.
Reporting to the Clinical Director of Oncology, the BMT Nursing Manager will coordinate and oversee a busy outpatient Cellular Therapy Program. Supported by a team of RNs and Nursing Coordinators that are nearly all BMTCN or OCN/ONS Certified, as well as Clinic Managers, this Nursing Manager will have all the pieces in place for successful leadership.
The Director of Oncology is able and willing to provide mentorship and guidance, but previous experience in Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), Cellular Therapies, or Heme/Onc will certainly be prioritized. Additionally, prior Nursing Supervision or Management experience will be important to earning the trust and buy-in of this nationally ranked clinical team.
As with any Clinical Nursing Leadership position, the Cellular Therapy Nurse Manager should be an expert in building relationships and savvy in understanding the financial aspects of patient care. You will regularly interact with over a dozen Oncologists who specialize in a full offering of services which range from cancer diagnosis and treatment, to clinical trials and research, to survivorship counseling and community support. A strong background in oncology nursing and a penchant for educating will very helpful in establishing yourself as a subject matter expert.
The San Francisco Bay Area is well known to have something for everyone. The artistic type, the gourmand, the outdoors person, and the home-body will all find something comforting. With Silicon Valley and San Jose a short distance to the south, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and some of California’s best primary schools, the Bay Area is a great place for the Cellular Therapy and BMT Nurse Manager to raise a family. Connected by Bay Area Rapid Transit and one of the nation’s best networks of buses and light-rails, you’ll find that it’s easy to get where ever you’re going.
The Manager of the Cellular Therapy Program will play a vital role in the operations of this medical center and in the support of the cancer community in the San Francisco Area. You will provide the best care possible, and you will be constantly amazed by the sheer indomitable nature of the human spirit. In support of this large task, you will receive a generous benefits package and competitive compensation.
