The Operating Room Nurse Director will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, overseeing a team of 26 FTEs, including RNs, surgical techs, and support staff. This role will work closely with the managers of PACU and Prep/Recovery, as well as collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providers to ensure seamless care delivery.
The surgical services unit includes 5 operating rooms, 1 procedure room, a 7-bed PACU, and an 8-bed Prep/Recovery area. The team handles an average of 40 surgeries and 200 GI procedures monthly, supported by a dedicated group of professionals. The unit is known for its fast-paced yet supportive atmosphere, where teamwork and patient outcomes are top priorities.
The Operating Room Nurse Director will provide day-to-day oversight of the OR and Central Sterile, ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. This role involves mentoring staff, managing budgets, and driving quality improvement initiatives. The director will also step in to support clinical operations as needed, ensuring continuity of care during high-volume periods.
