Supported by an experienced Perioperative team, the Nurse Manager Operating Room will have the support to exceed the goals of the department and keep the Operating Room functioning on all cylinders. The Nurse Manager Operating Room will report to the Director of Perioperative Services to keep them informed, and will collaborate with them on unit initiatives.
As the Nurse Operating Room Manager, you will be accountable for overseeing clinical and administrative operations, ensuring that your staff and department are operating efficiently, and making sure that each patient is treated with the highest level of care possible. The Nurse Operating Room Manager will be an experienced nurse with prior OR experience. Individuals with 3 years of Surgical Service Management/Leadership experience will earn quick interviews.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the operating room staff, including nurses, surgical technologists, and support personnel.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and promote best practices in surgical services.
- Manage operating room scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor patient outcomes and quality indicators, implementing initiatives to improve performance and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in budget planning and management for the operating room department.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to operating room staff.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning within the operating room team.
