A leading acute care hospital located in southeastern New York is now searching for an experienced PET / CT Radiology Technologist to join their award-winning healthcare team.
This acute care facility was founded over one hundred years ago and today boasts more than 400-beds and offers a wide variety of medical and surgical services. This state-of-the-art medical center provides a number of patient care services including behavioral health, oncology services, cardiopulmonary and vascular services, emergency and critical care, radiology services, maternity and pediatric care, wound and home care, and much more.
Reporting to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the PET / CT Radiology Technologist will operate advanced imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of the human body for the purpose of diagnosing medical conditions. Responsibilities include ensuring patients are prepared and positioned correctly prior to exams, accurately operates PET and CT imaging equipment, performs quality control tasks, utilizes specialized imaging software, ensures radiation safety amongst staff and patients, and works closely with the Radiologist.
What’s Needed to Succeed :
- Degree in Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine
- Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine or Computed Tomography
- Prior working experience is a plus!
