The RN Surgery Director will be leading patient care at this 80 bed hospital that’s part of an outstanding health system. This system has earned its great reputation by offering a comprehensive continuum of inpatient and outpatient healthcare services, including cardiovascular care, stroke, obstetrics & maternity care, emergency care as well as diagnostic imaging, screening, and testing.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the RN Director will lead an outstanding team of Surgery Nurses and Techs. With the CNOR Nursing Supervisor and two tenured Charge Nurses and Nurse Managers reporting up to the Director, this person will receive plenty of clinical support in the Surgery Department.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled Nurse Director to move to a well run and high-quality department. The RN Surgery Director will oversee a fast-paced and cutting-edge 8 OR unit, which was recently updated. Leading a skilled team of Nurses, and working closely with excellent doctors, Surgical Techs, and Anesthesiologists, this Director will find a unit that feels like a family.
The RN Surgery Director will serve an integral role in the Surgical Unit, taking oversight of both clinical and administrative operations. Clinically, the Director will lead skills and competency development for the Nursing Staff, will serve as a mentor to their team, and will support educational initiatives. This person will also be charged with developing and maintaining the schedule, participate in staffing processes, and will serve as the subject matter expert on regulation and compliance for the OR and PACU.
