Job Summary
The Stroke Program Nurse Manager will collaborate with the Stroke Medical Director to provide leadership and facilitation in promoting improved neurological patient outcomes. As a role model, educator, and nursing advance practice resource, this individual will facilitate professional development of the healthcare team and increase community awareness.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of quality-focused programs and initiatives, including Joint Commission certification and disease-specific care certifications.
- Maintain adherence to Joint Commission DSC Certification for Primary Stroke Centers, Clinical Practice Guidelines, Standards of Care, Elements of Performance, Brain Attack Coalition, and Joint Commission National Patient Safety goals, as well as California DPHS standards and quality initiatives.
- Individualize patient care to manage illness, promote well-being, foster rehabilitative and disease-preventive lifestyle choices, communicate with patients and their families, and coordinate with primary healthcare providers.
Requirements
