What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Laboratory Scientist - PRN position at Clinical Reference Laboratory?
Exacta Laboratory Systems is seeking a qualified Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MT/MLT/MLS) experienced in generalist. We are a small independent laboratory that values diversity, promotes teamwork, and encourages open communication. The duties of this position include general laboratory testing, PCR testing, equipment maintenance, quality control, and other duties as assigned.
- Experience using a Laboratory Information System (LIS) is preferred.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
The job requires knowledge and proficiency in routine laboratory testing.
Qualifications:

- Minimum of a degree in Medical Technology or related science with equivalence.
- 2 years of laboratory generalist experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of accepted laboratory best practices and procedures including handling of potentially infectious material.
- Strong focus and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize accuracy while following best practices in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment.
- Self-motivated with proven proficiency in data analysis, troubleshooting and evaluation of new processes and procedures.
- Team player who enjoys working in small units.
- Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with team members across various levels of technical expertise, from technicians through physicians.
- Love of learning.
- Ability to analyze complex situations quickly and easily, and develop courses of action.
- Knowledge of computer skills, quality control and instrument maintenance.
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, full fluency (verbal and written) of the English language.
Pay: $15.00 - $32.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overnight shift
- Weekends as needed
