Our client is looking to bring on a Medical Affairs, Digital Market Engagement consultant to support scientific communications and digital engagement. These efforts with a focus on omnichannel strategies, pharmaceutical marketing and the digital experience in working collaboration with medical affairs and cross-functional teams. The position requires strong digital strategy and technical expertise designed for a creative and strategic thinker passionate about science, communication, and leveraging digital platforms to enhance audience outreach. The consultant will collaborate closely with internal teams to design and execute impactful communication strategies that translate complex scientific concepts into accessible and engaging content. This position will be fully remote.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive scientific communications strategy tailored to key audiences, including researchers, policymakers, and the general public.
- Produce high-quality, accurate content such as articles, reports, white papers, infographics, and videos that effectively convey scientific ideas and data.
- Utilize omnichannel marketing approaches to ensure consistent messaging across digital platforms (e.g., social media, websites, email campaigns) and traditional channels.
- Design and execute digital engagement strategies specifically for pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with members of medical affairs to ensure that scientific communications align with clinical insights and regulatory guidelines.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, regulatory, R&D, and commercial teams, to deliver cohesive and impactful messaging.
- Develop and implement strong digital strategies to optimize engagement and outreach, leveraging cutting-edge tools and technologies.
- Use advanced software and technical skills to create, analyze, and refine digital content, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
- Leverage digital tools and platforms to enhance audience engagement, optimize user experience, and create interactive content (e.g., webinars, virtual events, and multimedia presentations).
- Analyze digital engagement metrics and user behaviors to improve outreach strategies and content effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in science, technology, pharmaceutical marketing, and digital innovations to incorporate relevant trends into communications.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in science, marketing, or a related field (MBA, Masters, PharmD, PhD)
- At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated expertise in scientific communications and marketing.
- Proven ability to craft compelling narratives that distill complex concepts for non-expert audiences.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO, analytics, and social media strategy.
- Demonstrated experience with omnichannel marketing and engagement strategies, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Extensive experience in digital engagement and using digital platforms for communications, including webinars, virtual events, and multimedia content creation.
- Strong expertise in digital strategy development and implementation, along with proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, analytics platforms, CRM systems).
- Prior experience working with medical affairs teams or cross-functional collaborations in healthcare/pharmaceutical settings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in project management and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
