Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers and staff.
Duties
- Operate a bus or van in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintain the vehicle in good working condition by performing routine inspections and minor repairs as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
- Communicate effectively in English with passengers and team members to ensure a smooth transportation experience.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including the use of seat belts and other safety equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and any incidents that occur during transit.
- Assist with Paratransit services as required, ensuring that all passengers receive the support they need.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus driving.
- Previous experience in commercial driving or as a van driver is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service in a professional manner.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations effectively.
