The Pharmacy Service Engineer is responsible for performing various functions to ensure the effective maintenance of machines and equipment throughout all Clinical Solutions Pharmacy facilities including installation, troubleshooting and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Act as a troubleshooter for automation equipment for all pharmacy equipment including (BD, LCA, MTS, Shipping, Conveying, and Sorting equipment).
- Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices.
- Monitor and report on project progress.
- Follow safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Support new machine builds, installations, and modifications.
- Communicate and problem-solve with various vendors (supplier and equipment)
- Establish and maintain effective communication with pharmacy operations management team.
- Train employees as needed in all areas of equipment repair and maintenance.
- Provide immediate response to equipment malfunctions.
- Participate in activities such as team meetings and problem-solving sessions.
Requirements and skills:
- Previous experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
- Great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity using various power and hand tools, such as hosts and grinders.
- Ability to provide quality customer service.
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads.
- Ability to travel to various sites when needed.
- Ability to identify and correct safety hazards to provide a safe working environment.
- Problem-solving and organizational skills
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), at least 3-5 years' experience, or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
Language Skills:
Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral English communication and to communicate effectively with customers, employees, management, and vendors.
Physical Demands:

- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, stir, walk, and stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- The employee is required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently to lift/move objects.
- Able to reach, carry, finger, grasp and feel objects related to duties.
