What are the responsibilities and job description for the Co-Response Clinical Supervisor position at Clinical & Support Options Inc?
CSO is looking for a Co-Response Clinician for our Emergency Services Team to support Great Barrington!
The Co-Response Clinician sits at the Gret Barrington Police Department and responds with law enforcement to 911 calls by providing urgent evaluation, crisis assessment and intervention to individuals experiencing a mental health emergency.
As a Co-Response Clinician:
You Will:
- Actively participate in 911 and emergency calls at the direction/request of partnering police departments
- Provide behavioral health assessments to individuals and families in crisis who encounter the police
- Provide initial crisis intervention services to individuals in need, along with crisis case management and short-term crisis counseling as follow-up from initial intervention, when appropriate
- Provide leadership in development of co-response model and represent the program in a prepared and professional manner at community events, task forces, and public speaking engagements
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of managed care and health insurance systems; provide other clinicians with managed care information and resources pertinent to the crises being managed
- Work with local providers and town officials to promote knowledge and understanding of utilizing the Co-Response resource
Your Background:
- Clinical Master's degree (required)
- Clinical license or license eligibility as well as Clinical experience is preferred
- Valid driver's license and vehicle
