What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intensive Outpatient Program Clinician, Northampton position at Clinical & Support Options Inc?
CSO is looking for an Outpatient Clinician to facilitate our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).)
IOP Clinicians provide clinical services to individuals with a history of substance use in a daily, 3-hour group environment in western and central Massachusetts. They also work with dually diagnosed adolescents and adults individually in an addition to running the IOP groups.
As an IOP Clinician:
You Will:
- Facilitate a daily, 3-hour Intensive Outpatient group for individuals ages 18 and older who have a history of substance use and mental health concerns
- Provide individual and family/conjoint therapy for adults and/or their families
- Develop treatment plans and goals
- Maintain complete, accurate and timely records
- Consult/collaborate with other professionals providing services to clients
- Participate in treatment planning, aftercare planning, team meetings, in-service trainings, and other required meetings and represent the agency in a professional manner in all community contacts and interagency meetings
- Provide outreach services when necessary
- Participate in group supervision when doing group therapy
- Exhibit knowledge of the process of addiction using a trauma-informed lens and a belief in harm reduction
- Demonstrate competence in evidenced-based approaches towards client engagement and treatment including motivational interviewing techniques
Your Background:
- Clinical Master's degree
- Post Master's experience (preferred) in treatment of adults and/or families
- Must be licensed or license eligible
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
