What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safe Haven Program Director position at Clinical & Support Options Inc?
CSO is looking for a Program Director for our Safe Haven Program.
Our Safe Haven is a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week fully supported transitional housing program. Safe Haven provides beds for chronically homeless individuals residing in Pittsfield, MA (Berkshire County). This program is peer supported and staffed with Counselors and Case Managers.
This position will provide clinical and administrative leadership for the program and oversee day-to-day operations.
As a Safe Haven Director:
You Will:
Supervise day-to-day clinical /rehabilitative and administrative operations of the program.
Oversee intake and referral process, in collaboration with the Department of Mental Health
Provide programmatic and administrative supervision to designated staff and collaborate with Human Resources as needed regarding employee-related issues
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with collateral contacts and community service providers, such as DMH, etc.
Conduct consultation and education to community programs, law enforcement agencies, etc. as necessary and required
Participate in weekly supervision with The Regional Director of Programs & Services or designee.
Attend all required management meetings
Participate in recruiting, hiring, and training staff
Schedule and facilitate staff/team meetings; attend agency management staff meetings as required
Provide direct care services as required, including, as necessary, direct program staffing, individual, group, outreach, and transportation services
Complete all necessary and required clinical and administrative paperwork in a timely manner.
Monitor staff scheduling and client caseloads
Monitor and record statistical information needed for all contracts and subsequent written reports to funding sources such as DMH, etc.
Monitor contract utilization and ensure appropriate and required services are provided
Ensure the provision of quality services to all clients, conducting program evaluation as necessary or assigned and maintaining compliance with contractual obligations; obtain and maintain ServSafe, CPR, First Aid or other certifications as required

Your Background:
- High School Diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Five years of experience working with adults with serious and persistent mental illness
- Three years of supervisory experience
- Experience working in residential settings (preferred)
- Lived experience (a plus!)
- Computer proficiency
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
