NURSE PRACTITIONER FOR SLEEP MEDICINE DEPARTMENT
Current Texas State Nurse Practitioner License
Current CPR Certification
New graduate acceptable
- Excellent work ethic, compassionate and ability to establish positive relationships with patients.
- Sees new and established patients, completing a thorough history and physical examination for sleep conditions.
- Prescribes appropriate treatments, DME, and follow-up visits based on patient's identified clinic needs, and results of diagnostic workup including, but not limited to, home and in-lab sleep studies.
- Develops a treatment plan for sleep conditions and consults with the Sleep Med Physician. Refers patients to other specialty services when necessary.
- Perform procedures and write prescriptions within the scope of the practice.
- Maintains accurate and complete patient records in compliance with clinic policy and professional standards. This includes documenting in a timely manner and proficiency in using the EMR.
- Counsel's patients helping them to understand sleep related health issues and their treatment options.
- Other duties as assigned.
