What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Director - Addiction/Mental Health position at Clinity Talent?
We are seeking a committed Clinical Director for our inpatient substance abuse treatment programs based in Newfane, NY. The Clinical Director will oversee the clinical staff's efforts in delivering substance abuse treatment services and aftercare planning for designated clients. You will be responsible to provide individual therapy, treatment planning, case management, client advocacy, counseling, and crisis intervention.
Job Duties:
Assist staff in the day-to-day provision of family-focused, trauma-informed mental health services to the in-patient treatment community.
Supervises the assessment of all newly admitted patients, oversees clinical staff in scheduling treatment activities, assigns caseloads, and monitors the performance of clinicians.
Provide individual and group counseling.
Reviews and approves all clinical documentation, including treatment progress reports, treatment plans, and client care coordination plans, while conducting regular quality assurance and improvement reviews to ensure timely record-keeping.
Assist in Clinical staff evaluations, and professional development.
Conduct chart reviews to ensure that all record-keeping is performed on a timely basis and that all governing agency regulations are met.
Works collaboratively with the program director and counselors to establish a continuum of care for participants.
Participate in meetings regarding the revision, improvement and expansion of existing programs and offer recommendations.
Ensures the delivery of clinical services is both high-quality and safe.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree preferred, Bachelors required
- 5 years of supervisory experience in a similar/relevant setting
- Licensed in the State of NY as a qualified health professional (QHP):
- CASAC
- A counselor certified by and currently registered as such with the National Board for Certified Counselors (NCC)
- A professional licensed and currently registered as such by the New York State Education Department to include: a psychologist; a social worker (LMSW; LCSW), and a mental health practitioner including: a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), and a creative arts therapist (LCAT)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
