As a Psychiatric-mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive mental health care to patients. You will work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care to individuals with mental health conditions.
Duties
- Assist medical staff in the development and implementation of performance improvement activities; oversee record reviews and participate in other performance improvement activities as needed
- Assumes day-to-day responsibility for the operations of the medical team, in the Medical Director’s absence, such as handling client/clinical staff concerns, acting as a liaison between medical staff and internal/external stakeholders and fills in for other medical staff member is unexpectedly out
- Provide education on psychiatric and MAT medications to agency clinical staff

Evaluate, diagnose and provide treatment to Center clients: Becomes trained in medication assisted treatment and telepsychiatry and provides both services to clients
- Develop comprehensive holistic behavioral health assessments for children, adolescents, adults, older adults and clients with behavioral health disorders; involve family members as indicated
- Develop individual and family focused treatment plans which are goal directed; involve family members as indicated; treatment plans will include management of physical and mental health problems; re-evaluate plans as needed and at intervals specified in Center procedures
- Prescribe medication in accordance with his/her license and the Center’s formulary; this may include prescribing controlled dangerous substances and following government regulations and agency policies
- Provide medication evaluation and management services including medication counseling and education, psychoeducation to assigned clients and family caregivers
- Administer injectable medications as prescribed
Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey Nurse Practitioner license with Psychiatric-Mental Health specialization
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing
- Experience in psychiatric patient care

Pay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
