What are the responsibilities and job description for the High Throughput Assay Scientist position at ClinLab Staffing?
Scientist, High Throughput Assay
We are seeking a candidate to work design and execute high throughput assays using our integrated automation platform. We are proud to have developed the most flexible lab automation system in the market and promises science at any scale. You will work and collaborate with all our scientific groups helping to scale up current assays, augment proof of concept bench-top assays. There is opportunity to design entirely new screening assays from an extremely motivated candidate.
The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can juggle multiple projects simultaneously, and has a passion for advancing genetic medicine through innovative screening approaches.
You will:
- Design and execute high-throughput screening assays to support genetic medicine discovery programs
- Optimize and validate biochemical and cell-based assay protocols for automation platform implementation
- Collaborate with scientific teams to scale up bench-top assays to high-throughput format and utilize our Automation engineers to build new enabling features.
- Maintain detailed documentation of experimental procedures, results, and analyses in Benchling
- Prepare and maintain cell lines and protein samples for screening campaigns
- Troubleshoot biological technical issues and implement solutions to improve assay performance.
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets from screening experiments
- Present findings and progress updates to cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
- PhD in relevant field (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology) with 2 years experience or Masters Degree with 4 year’s experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong background in designing and optimizing high-throughput screening assays with experience in both biochemical and cell-based formats
- Experience with Benchling strongly desired.
- Hands-on expertise with protein expression systems (bacterial, mammalian, or insect cells) and protein purification techniques (FPLC, chromatography)
- Cell Culture work is strongly preferred. You will need to passage and prepare your own cells for screens.
