What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Technician position at ClinLab Staffing?
We are seek a part time Research Technician (20 hours a week) to assist with daily operation of the lab space. We are looking for a personable and highly-motivated individual with a basic understanding of a scientific laboratory environment.
Responsibilities:
• Performing weekly experiments with lead research associate.
• Preparing media and other reagents.
• Perform maintenance tasks for instruments and equipment to ensure they are working properly.
• Cleaning glassware.
• Provides general operational support in the office space (printer, copier, supplies, etc.).
• Support other operational functions as needed.
Requirements:
• A general working knowledge of microbial or mammalian cell techniques, including microbial culture and aseptic technique
• Must be responsible, highly motivated and willing to learn
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biology, Genetics, or other scientific background.
• Experience with Aseptic technique and autoclaving
• Highly preferred: Fermentation experience.
• Needs to be able to lift 30 lbs.
