The Middle School Visual Arts Teacher will develop and implement an engaging curriculum that encourages students to explore a variety of artistic techniques, mediums, and concepts. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a comprehensive visual arts curriculum for middle school students based on the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction Essential Standards for Visual Arts.
- Teach fundamental and advanced art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages self-expression, creativity, and artistic growth.
- Integrate art history, cultural influences, and contemporary practices into lessons.
- Organize student art exhibitions, contests, and community projects.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked art classroom.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and parents to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain certification).
