- Formulates objectives before the sports season begins.
- Explains and distributes literature to all athletes concerning the Athletic Commitment Form and the protecting of student eligibility.
- Provides the athlete with the letter award policy for assigned sport.
- Schedules and organizes daily practices with the idea of developing the athlete’s greatest potential.
- Teaches athletes the fundamental skills, theory, and strategy of the sport.
- Teaches the athletes the value of good conduct, sportsmanship, and good citizenship.
- Provides supervision of athletes at all times and applies discipline in a firm productive manner.
- Teaches and emphasizes safe procedures to the athletes.
- Implements proper out-of-season training as needed in accordance with MSHSAA guidelines.
- Attends the athletic awards program.
- Provides stimulus in practices to maintain enthusiasm and competitive attitudes.
