Clinton Grace Christian School of Clinton, MD is looking for a full-time faculty members who love God and are disciples of Jesus Christ, who also love students and can teach academic content with excellence. We are looking to create an initial pool of candidates for potential positions available for the 2024-2025 school year. Inquiries and screenings will be conducted the month of April 2024 and formal interviews for confirmed position openings will take place starting in May 2024. The start date will be late August 2024.

  • Elementary Teacher (2nd Grade)
  • MS/HS Bible Teacher
  • PreK Teacher
  • HS Spanish Teacher
  • Special Education Director
  • HS Science (Biology, Anatomy and Physiology)
  • MS/HS Theater Arts Teacher

Applicants should have a minimum of a completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education or a related field. Classroom teaching experience is desirable. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills as well as exceptional oral and written communication skills.

General Qualifications for all Clinton Grace Christian School Faculty positions, Grades K5-12, include:

  • Minimum Degree (B.A./B.S.) in field of instruction is required (w/ potential exception for PreK)
  • Life-long learner through continuing education credits, graduate level courses, seminars and professional development
  • Follow course and unit objectives already established by the school
  • Ability and willingness to perform required class recordkeeping responsibilities and create an effective communication pattern with students’ parents and colleagues
  • Create an inviting physical environment for students21st Century technology, to include: Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Zoom, Google Meet, online gradebook, lesson plans, email and data management
  • Holds, or is in the process of earning, an Association of Christian Schools International Teacher Credential
  • A teaching sample (either a video or in person) may be requested
  • Ability to teach an elective in an age-related field and carry out additional teacher duties such as lunch duty, carpool duty, and special seasonal events supervision, i.e., concerts, sports games, etc.

Qualifying Characteristics:

  • Be a role model in attitude, speech and actions on a consistent and daily, basis
  • The teacher will faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose fundamental beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith of this school
  • Follow the Matthew 18 principle
  • Lead students to a realization of their self-worth in Christ
  • Meet everyday stress with emotional stability, objectivity and optimism
  • Maintain a personal appearance that is a role model of cleanliness, modesty, good taste and be in agreement with the school policy
  • Use acceptable English in written and oral communication
  • Keep confidential information confidential
  • Utilize educational opportunities and evaluation process for professional growth

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Teach academic content according to the guidance of the curriculum, with biblical worldview integration
  • Prepare weekly lesson plans
  • Grade student work
  • Assess student progress
  • Mitigate student conflict
  • Model the school’s core values (S.O.A.R.) Servant Leadership, Optimism, Accountability, Relationships
  • Maintain accurate gradebook and student records
  • Communicate regularly with families, and meet with families as needed
  • Attend an after school faculty meeting weekly
  • Attend extracurricular activities as assigned
  • Attend daily devotions at the start of the school day
  • Other assigned duties outside of core content area

Clinton Grace Christian School is an ACSI Accredited, Middle States Accredited and Maryland Approved School in Clinton Maryland, just 16 miles south of Washington DC. CGCS is a Prek3 – 12th grade college prep school which has been in existence for 54 years.
