Job Title: 7th and 8th Grade Science
Location: Clinton Middle School

Reports to: Gene Ray, Principal
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cover a variety of science topics, including life science, earth science, and physical science, in accordance with the Oklahoma Academic Standards.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including labs, experiments, simulations, technology integration, and project-based learning, to create a dynamic and interactive learning environment.
- Foster a love of science by encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in students.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of all students.
- Integrate technology effectively to enhance learning and student engagement.
- Conduct regular assessments and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and school administration.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in science education.
- Collaborate with other science teachers and faculty to ensure a cohesive science program across grade levels (optional).
Qualifications:
- Oklahoma State Teaching License in Physical Science or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Strong understanding of middle school science curriculum and the Oklahoma Academic Standards.
- Experience and passion for creating a hands-on learning environment for science education.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
- Proficiency in the use of educational technology and software applications.
