The IT Systems Manager performs monitoring, recording, and documenting pipeline conditions while reviewing and overseeing other control room activities, including employee scheduling, fatigue management, and training, etc.
IT manager oversees assessment activities and internal and external support for business office and field operations required to support the design, construction, inspection, maintenance, data collection, accounting, and repair of the Clinton Newberry Natural Gas Authority information technology systems.
Minimum qualifications:
· Associate's degree in engineering graphics, civil engineering technology, computer science, or related field supplemented 3 years of work experience in engineering, drafting or computer programming, I.T. or an equivalent combination of education.
· Must have and maintain a SC Driver’s License and the ability to maintain standards for insurability.
· Accurate completion of required documentation.
· Demonstrated computer Skills.
· Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
· Within 12 months, obtain and maintain pertinent Operator Qualifications and successfully perform job-related skills as required.
The IT Systems manager is responsible for providing support and troubleshooting IT devices within CNNGA. They will deploy, install, maintain, repair, administer, and patch endpoints, mobile devices, network equipment, and other hardware/software to support CNNGA operational needs.
Performs monitoring, recording, and documenting the flow of natural gas from the city gate to customers while reviewing and overseeing other control room subordinates. Serves as after-hours contact for the field personnel as well as those in the control room by means of landline, cell phone, and IOS tablets with primary interaction of various groups and individuals such as the Director of Industrial Relations and Technical Field Operations, co-workers, emergency personnel, other utility systems’ personnel, and the public.
Provides technical support for workstations, servers, printers, network issues, etc. while coordinating with third-party vendors for troubleshooting and projects as needed. During abnormal or emergency situations, the IT Manager is responsible for ensuring the appropriate personnel are contacted by subordinates of the control room to investigate alarms, implement corrective actions, and utilize the work order system to deploy on-call technicians. Coordinate with third-party vendors for troubleshooting and projects. Assist with the design, implementation, and ongoing support of new hardware, software, feature refreshes, network/server room reworks, cabling runs, terminations, and LAN/WAN refreshes. Other duties as assigned.
