Education

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The position reports directly to the Director of Technology, Wade Grant.
12-month work schedule with normal school holidays allowed.
Paid Hourly (to be determined based on experience).
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Provide timely and professional support to resolve technical issues for staff and students.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, and interactive whiteboards.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of student and staff devices (e.g., iPads, Windows/Mac computers).
- Manage user accounts, including password resets and permissions, in systems such as Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
Network and System Maintenance:
- Support and maintain district networks, including wired and wireless infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of network devices such as switches, access points, and routers.
Repair Damaged Devices:
- Utilize Apple's Global Service Exchange (GSX) platform to manage repairs for district-owned Apple devices, including creating repair cases, generating shipping labels, and tracking repair status.
- Ensure diagnostic tests are completed, warranty coverage is verified, and devices are properly prepared for shipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repair submissions and part orders through GSX.
Software and Applications:
- Install, configure, and update software on district devices.
- Provide training and support for district-approved educational tools, apps, and systems.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing requirements.
- Develop and maintain an automated dashboard server to streamline IT workflows, monitor network performance, and display real-time data metrics.
- Create and manage Google Sheets automations for tasks such as generating damage letters, integrating Google Docs and Drive for seamless document creation and recordkeeping.
Inventory and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of hardware, software, and licenses in inventory systems.
- Document technical processes, procedures, and common troubleshooting steps.
- Assist in the management of district-wide asset tracking for technology equipment.
Cybersecurity and Compliance:
- Support the implementation of cybersecurity measures, including antivirus, firewalls, and data protection practices.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with district policies and federal/state regulations (e.g.,CIPA, FERPA, HIPAA).
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with educators and administrators to understand and meet technology needs.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for technical support and repairs.
- Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical staff.
