SUMMARY
Looking for a dynamic teacher who will be responsible for working with special needs students such as those who have learning, physical, emotional or mental disabilities or challenges in a cross categorical classroom setting.
COMPENSATION
The compensation is outlined in the CEA collective bargaining master agreement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess individual students to determine the most appropriate teaching strategies and develop a teaching plan, (Individual Development Plan – IDP).
- Communicates with parents to discuss student progress
- Participates in curriculum development programs as required
- Attends staff meetings as required by the Building Principal
- Other duties as assigned by the Building Principal and Director of Special Education.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate, license or other legal credential required
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate and acceptable
