What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategy & Operations - Growth position at Clipboard Health?
What’s the Role Look Like?
Clipboard Health is focused on growth today. The Strategy and Operations - Growth plays a key role to help drive growth for the company, covering either our flagship long term care labor market or working on new lines of business within the company.
Our Strategy and Operations - Growth team has a few roles: you could own growth in a specific market, you could manage a team to execute on motions that we think work in a new line of business, or you could do price discovery to make sure we’re monetizing well enough to support longer term growth in a specific market.
Regardless of what project you work on, we expect that you’ll take high ownership of your problem and want to interface directly with our customers. This is a customer facing role where you’ll take action to drive growth based on what you hear from our customers on the ground.
You’ll have a good deal of autonomy in the role - you might have to establish your own metrics for success rather than being told “this is what good looks like”. We don’t expect you to have tackled similar problems in the past. We do expect that you’ll want to be in front of customers to generate clues, and that you’ll then take those clues, marry them with data analysis, and create a path forward to better our marketplace.
How does this role differ from other “generalist” roles posted on Clipboard’s job board?
Other generalist roles can be a bit more ambiguous - this role is expected to be customer facing. If you see yourself as a people person who also likes to reinforce what they hear on the ground with numbers you’re likely a fit for this role.
There’s multiple hats or areas of ownership you might take on as a member of the Strategy and Ops - Growth team, but an example is the “Market Owner” role which you can see in this document.
What’s greatness look like in this role?
You take ownership of the problem(s) you’re tasked with and solve that problem for our customers and for the business. Success in this role will deliver outcomes. If you own a market, you deliver growth in that market. If you’re responsible for pricing a market, you’ve collected a bunch of data points on the ground to set pricing targets with confidence, and you’ve built the process to know when the targets should change. If you’re responsible for launching new markets, you double the odds of a successful launch because you’re involved.
We want forces of nature who bend the world to their will - you should be confident that you can get what you want.
What experience is necessary for the role?
None! If you're a New Grad who thinks you could crush it - feel free to apply. If you're more experienced and have confidence you can excel, apply. We have a wide range of experience on the team today.
Traits are more important than experience to us. You’ll need to be a self starter who is confident in their ability to drive change. If you want to know the exact day to day or problems you’d work on you might not be a fit.
Where does this role sit within our organization?
You’ll sit within our Strategy and Operations organization and report into Wyatt Amaral, our Head of Strategy and Operations.
