This is a founding product engineering role at Clipbook, with the opportunity to have a great deal of control, autonomy, and leadership in engineering strategy & execution.
In this role, you will be responsible for rapidly delivering our product roadmap, interacting with customers to identify their needs, and working closely with cross-functional teams (across engineering, customer success, and sales) to ensure our products meet market demands.
This position is ideal for someone with a passion for early stage businesses, rapid execution, and a passion for early-stage product strategy.
\n- Full Stack Development: Rapidly deploy key, customer-facing features to Clipbook’s 200 customers; design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, applications across the stack.
- Database Architecture: Build and optimize database systems to ensure seamless data flow and query performance for our platform.
- AI/ML Integration: Integrate AI models into production environments, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Technical Leadership: Contribute to technical design decisions, mentor junior developers, and ensure high-quality code through reviews and best practices.
- Scalability & Performance: Optimize the platform for high performance and handle large-scale data processing.
- 3-5 years of experience in full stack development, with expertise in modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular, Next), backend technologies (e.g., Node, Python, Java) and ORM (e.g. Django, Sequelize).
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML model integration into production workflows, ideally with Python-based ML libraries.
- Strong knowledge of database design and optimization (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL).
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining large data sets including cost considerations for storage, backups, and security.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform), and continuous deployment.
- Ability to lead API design and technical architecture to support integration with existing and future products.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to architect solutions for complex, dynamic workflows.
- Exposure to natural language processing (NLP) or AI model fine-tuning.
