Job Title: Camera Operator – Livestream
Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and meticulous Camera Operator to join our team of Contractors. Your camera is constantly live and watched by many people including our team of quality assurance. Your job is essential to us and we are excited to have you onboard. This job is about self management and professional camera work. This is a sporting event where you film a horse and rider going through their course. Horse and rider will come in and get ready to jump, then do the laid out course, then leave the ring as the next horse comes in. We are looking for a camera operator who can catch all the action to our specifications through smooth camera work. All the equipment is on site provided by us. Prior experience is preferred, however, we welcome students and recent graduates looking to gain work experience.
Show dates April 9th - April 13th, April 16th - April 20th
Applicants must be local to the Lake St. Louis, Missouri area. This is an independent daily contract position which gets paid out on a weekly basis. The day rate is $200/day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cameras to capture images according to the production needs.
- Troubleshoot technical issues to uphold quality of the production.
- Keep the horse in frame. Mostly full shots.
- Check in with management when you arrive and before you leave.
Required Skills And Qualifications:
- Operation and knowledge of video production cameras.
- Attention to detail, framing, and smooth camera work.
- Knowledge of basic camera settings and camera/tripod setups.
- Effective communication with on-site management and ability to relay issues.
- Must arrive prior to the start time of the show, as provided to you by the show manager daily.
- Must notify of availability for show circuit prior to onboarding.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
An ideal candidate for this role would have experience in live sports broadcast, flexible schedule and ability to potentially travel. Able to work well during single camera productions as well as working in teams for multi-cam productions. Candidates must be comfortable working primarily outdoors with varying daily schedules(8-12hrs).
