Position Summary :
We’re currently seeking a full-time, reliable, highly detailed-oriented, confident and career-driven individual to fill our Credit & Sales Tax Specialist . This is an in-person role in our casual but hard-working office environment. We maintain a small, team-oriented, dynamic and fast-paced office with shifting priorities. The team is dedicated to industry-leading customer service and the rewarding mission of our organization. We operate as a small business, so this position would be involved in many different aspects of our day-to-day operations.
Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
- Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers and manage credit risk exposure.
- Conduct credit reviews and recommend credit limits and terms for Credit Committee approval.
- Complete vendor credit applications, process customer credit applications and maintain numerous Excel spreadsheets.
- Oversee the credit approval process from start-to-finish and ongoing account management.
- Prepare and maintain credit reports, providing insights into credit risk exposure.
- Collaborate with the Accounting and Sales Teams to support business operations.
- Manage indirect tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filing of sales / use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
- Research and apply changes in tax laws, maintaining compliance with state, local, and foreign tax regulations. (Sales Tax Nexus Compliance, Excise, Sales Tax, Prepaid Taxes, Exemption Certificates, Resale Certificates, etc)
- Assist with tax audits, research tax issues, and provide solutions for indirect tax compliance.
- EXPERIENCE WITH EXCEL IS MANDATORY. MUST BE VERY COMFORTABLE WITH EXCEL
