Clive Behavioral Health

Clive Behavioral Health opened in February 2021 with 100 inpatient beds for adult, child & adolescent patients experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis. Care at this location focuses on crisis management, stabilization and development of a plan to return to community living with, if needed, supportive outpatient services and community services and resources.

Recreation Therapist

Position Summary

The Recreation Therapist (RT) is responsible for planning and implementing activity services for assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients. Shift would be 8 hours 5 days a week or 10 hour shifts 4 days a week. Would be working every other weekend. May have to work til 7pm a few days a week.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Art, Music, Recreation therapy, Occupational therapy or related therapeutic discipline.

Experience: One (1) year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.

Licensure: Certification or licensure required: CTRS, OTR/L, MT-BC, ATR-BC

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR/BLS Certification and successful completion of Handle with Care training. Certification and training may be obtained during new hire orientation.
