We’re hiring a Marketing & Sponsorship Manager to serve as an embedded team member at Expo Idaho and the Western Idaho Fair. In this unique hybrid role, you’ll split your time between CLM, a full-service marketing and advertising agency based in Boise, and Expo Idaho, helping manage marketing initiatives, communications, and sponsorship efforts.

Key Responsibilities
Embedded Role – Expo Idaho & Western Idaho Fair (Primary Client)
- Manage day-to-day marketing and communication tasks for Expo Idaho, including website updates, social media content planning and publishing, signage, and digital board messaging.
- Monitor and manage online reputation and community engagement across owned channels and review platforms.
- Support creative development and project execution in coordination with the CLM creative team.
- Oversee marketing timelines and deliverables in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead sponsorship sales for the Western Idaho Fair, including outreach, proposal development, closing deals, and relationship management.
- Serve as the on-the-ground marketing point person during peak fair season (July–August), including time onsite for execution, signage coordination, sponsor relations, and troubleshooting.
Agency Role – CLM Marketing & Advertising
- Serve as an Account Manager and/or Project Manager for additional agency clients throughout the year.
- Work with the strategy, creative, and media teams to help guide the execution of integrated marketing campaigns.
- Build strong relationships with assigned clients, understanding their goals and keeping projects on track.
- Participate in agency culture, team meetings, professional development, and internal initiatives.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of marketing, communications, or sponsorship experience (event experience strongly preferred)
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to juggle multiple projects and timelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across internal and client teams
- Willingness to work flexible hours during event season (evenings/weekends during the Fair)
- Familiarity with tools like social media schedulers, CMS platforms, Canva/Adobe tools, and project management systems is a plus
- Positive, proactive, and adaptable — thrives in both structured office work and lively event environments
