Position Title: Technical Support Specialist
Reports To: Technical Operations Manager
Job Summary:
This is a hybrid in office and/or work from home Full time Monday – Friday position with competitive compensation that will require some travel to the main office in Winfield KS and possible travel to Jackson MS.
We are looking for a long term self-motivated IT professional that would be proud to work in a first level IT Support position. One that is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to internal employees with hardware, and software issues. This individual will respond to help desk tickets, emails, and phone calls, and will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues. They will also escalate issues to second level IT support as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide first level technical support to internal employees
· Respond to help desk tickets, emails, and phone calls
· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, hardware, and software
· Move equipment as needed with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Document and track technical issues and resolutions in a help desk ticketing system
· Escalate technical issues to second level IT support as necessary
· Install and configure software applications and updates
· Ability to research and find solutions to problems
· Assist with existing projects and new ideas
· Be available to work flexible hours if needed
· Attend weekly meetings in person and over the web
· Assist with IT equipment inventory management and procurement
Requirements:
· High school graduate/GED required. Some college level or military equivalent. 3 years Information Technology and/or helpdesk experience required.
· Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Working knowledge of Windows, MS Office, Web browsers, basic software and website navigation
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
· Ability to quickly and professionally adapt to a change in priorities
· Knowledge of basic networking concepts and networking hardware
Working Conditions:
This position is a WFH, with some in office visits, environment requiring the individual to have a good work area with fast and reliable internet.
