Job Summary
The CT Technologist works under the direction of the radiologist and the Director of Imaging Services. The CT Technologist operates the CT (computed tomography) scanner to produce cross-sectional images of the patient for diagnostic or interventional purposes. Responsible for all aspects related to the operation of the CT scanner.
Requirements: Graduate of an approved course for radiologic technology. Registered with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), with certification in CT; or ready to take the CT examination within 1 year. Must have in-depth knowledge of CT equipment to maintain general operation ensuring manufactures specifications are being upheld and equipment quality control measures are being met.
