Summary:
The Machine and Maintenance Coordinator supports the Machines Manager and the Maintenance Manager in ensuring all processing lines operate at an acceptable level.
The coordinator will help organize, schedule, operate and manage the operators, while monitoring the machines for mechanical issues and collaborating with the Maintenance Manager to ensure optimal machine uptime.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain and exhibit knowledge and skills in all CtL’s mechanical processes which includes but not limited to shredders, granulators, hammer mills, Swecos, pumps, squeeze presses, air compressors, conveyor systems, turbo dryers, friction washers, KICE systems, vibration tables, and transport equipment
- Supports Production Scheduling for Department Check-In Lines with Production Management, initiate/prepare internal operational reports, and maintaining department inventory levels
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues within the department
- Develop and implement procedures for improving operations reducing cost without compromising product quality
- Assist in coordinating operational changes such as utilize technology and automation to increase efficiencies
- Work with the Maintenance Manager and EH&S Manager to develop and support processes that meet safety codes, policy, and guidelines
- Supports staffing of Department with Production Management and Human Resources
- Develop employee capabilities through training, coaching, and outstanding communications and labor and employee relations
- With Machines Manager, ensure practices and procedures are developed and implemented to consistently deliver high quality products services and commercially sustainable material recovery.
- Work with Engineering department to conduct cost-benefit and ROI analysis of projects to ensure justification of the capital spend if required.

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Management or a related field or 5 years of directly related experience; at least 3 supervisory experience
- Forklift certification a plus
- Familiar with best practices for manufacturing and procedures
- Minimum of 5 years of machine operation and manufacturing experience
- General Maintenance knowledge is a must
Work Environment:
- Position works in both an office environment and a production floor environment, including loud noises, vibrations, and some airborne particles present.
- Position may be required to stand, walk sit, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and lift up to 25 lbs.
