We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform routine / preventative maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities within our organization. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the field of maintenance and facilities management.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting machinery and equipment.
- Provide maintenance function Preventive, Predictive, Project & Reactive
- Learn and apply basic troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Support in conducting regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Assist in repairing and replacing defective parts on machinery, equipment, and building systems.
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures while working with tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment maintenance logs.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and projects.
- Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, procedure, and equipment manuals.
- May be required to have/obtain licenses to operate powered industrial trucks, boom lifts, scissor lifts, or other types of equipment used to facilitate equipment repairs and accessibility.
- Strong mechanical experience / aptitude as well as strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
- Experience working on Material Handling Conveyors, Granulators, Shredders and Vertical Balers is a plus.
- CDL License is a plus, where we utilize a Yard Dog to move trailers in and out of the dock.
