Job Summary | We are looking for a dynamic, self-driven individual who enjoys working with people and has a passion for empowering the next generation of informed and engaged citizens. The main responsibility of the Partnerships Coordinator is to help manage relationships and projects with strategic partners—including public and private schools and districts, corporations, government entities, foundations, and other organizations—that support Close Up’s mission and work. This person collaborates with partners and other departments in the planning and coordination of programs and partnership management to achieve program goals, and provides research and administrative support cross-departmentally.
This is an in-person position based in the Washington, D.C., area but there is flexibility to telework occasionally.
Essential Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing partners.
- Support the development and implementation of joint initiatives with partners to enhance program impact and reach.
- Assist in partnership management by acting as a liaison with Close Up departments to meet partner needs and requests and ensure successful program execution.
- Serve as a point of contact for all stakeholders and coordinate communications to ensure alignment with program objectives and timely updates.
- Assist in the execution of partnership agreements, including managing deliverables, logistics, recruitment, timelines, and reporting requirements.
- Assist in recruitment and marketing efforts by promoting partnership programs through various channels, including social media, community outreach, and informational sessions.
- Attend program events and meetings to provide on-the-ground or virtual support.
- Gather and share feedback from partners to continuously improve partnership strategies and strengthen collaborative efforts.
- Maintain accurate partnership records, agreements, and contact information.
- Support management to maximize opportunities to leverage partner engagement and contribute to the Foundation’s strategic growth plan.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- At least two years of experience working in project management, marketing, and/or communications (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive), cloud storage, and collaboration tools.
- Availability for evening and weekend programming support, as needed.
- Ability to build and develop relationships and work with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong writing, communication, and copyediting skills and the ability to produce clear, concise, and compelling content for various program purposes and audiences, including program materials, promotional copy, and internal communications, while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to Close Up branding guidelines.
- Ability to effectively multitask, stay organized, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to take initiative, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, and use sound judgment to identify and implement effective solutions.
- Strong attention to detail while staying organized and focused, contributing to innovative ideas, and ensuring high-quality results in all tasks.
